I so appreciate the sincerity and depth she brings to her work. Her knowledge, and the time and care that she takes when talking and explaining things to you, establishes a tremendous amount of trust that is rare and very special to find.
I would describe Karen as a healer; as a person with a deep understanding of the body, and the need for balance and wellness from head to toe, literally. She is intuitive, professional, gifted, and has a quiet, calm approach that leaves you feeling very relaxed and open to her ability to you to a more positive, refreshed and healthy state. I have times when I come to her mentally drained or sad; times when I am physically struggling or hurting; and other times when I feel like I just want to relax in the moment and melt onto her table – in every instance, Karen exceeds my expectations. I believe she has the gift of healing, and I am very grateful to have met her!

I'm a Fishing Charter Captain and found myself with a pinched nerve in my neck. I made a call to Cairn Clinic, Karen Cox, and she worked me in the same day for a acupuncture and massage treatment....I followed up with several treatments and I am on the road to recovery with the awesome care of Dr. Cox. I recommend her highly and I am so grateful she was there when I needed treatment. Thank you Dr. Cox

When I saw Dr. Karen Cox for a combined massage and acupuncture treatment, I was a little apprehensive about the treatment’s ability to offer much relief from some of my symptoms. Initially, I sat with her and described my health issues in full detail.
Dr. Cox listened to my concerns and explained that most of my conditions were based on what’s known as “dampness” in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Some of these are inflammatory disorders such as allergies, arthritis, and hormonal imbalance.
Dr. Cox uses a technique that allows her to feel the energy within the meridians, and she places the fine acupuncture needles in these areas for optimal outcomes. While I thoroughly enjoyed the relaxing massage, the first few placements of the needles were a little unnerving. Although it didn’t hurt, I asked her to explain the placements to me to help me understand, and Dr. Cox graciously gave me explanations along the way.
After all of the needles were inserted, I was left to relax on the table for a set amount of time, which was lovely. When the entire process was completed, I felt a little tired, but my dark circles under my eyes were already lighter, and the puffiness was diminishing. When I came home, I felt exhausted, but Dr. Cox explained that some patients have different reactions. Many feel exhilarated and energetic, while others like myself might feel more sluggish, due to the body’s healing and recovery process.
Over the next few days, my energy levels soared, and I felt a sense of relief in my body. The painful arthritis in my hand completely subsided. The arthritis in my foot, which is much more aggressive, took another treatment to feel less aggravated. My digestion improved, and my hormones felt more regulated. Overall my inflammation seems to be better when I’m receiving acupuncture treatments, and I believe the synergistic effect of the massage and acupuncture is key to restoring my body on a cellular level.

I have known Karen Jane Cox for more than a decade. She rented a room at my yoga studio, Yoga Shakti, in Tarpon Springs. I had regular massages with her, she is someone I trust with my body and her knowledge is excellent as a therapeutic massage therapist. She could go deep into the tissues to release tension and at the same time gentle and sensitive to my needs. Many of our yoga students were her clients and they were all very happy with Karen. We wish her all the success life as to offer.

Two days after calling Dr. Cox about my struggle with Raynaud’s disease, I was ready for my first visit. For those that are not aware of this disease I’ll give of my conditions. The temperature in my home is set at 75 degrees. My wife is sweating and I’m wrapped in a blanket freezing to death. I’ve tried everything to alleviate this health problem My hands and fingers would turn purple and hurt so bad I couldn’t move them. I have lived with this problem for better than 15 years and I have visited more than one doctor about help. After one visit with Dr. Cox all the pain in my hands and fingers disappeared and after the second visit my hands and fingers returned to what is considered normal. So for me acupuncture helped. At 75 years old, Dr. Cox gave me a new normal life.

I am a Yoga and Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer. I am a mother of three, 52 years old, and a breast cancer survivor. Being healthy in mind, body, and spirit are imperative, not only to my career, but also to my life. Dr. Cox has helped me with the pain of neck and spine injuries from a car accident and also through healing from mold poisoning and toxic chemical exposure. She is extremely knowledgeable and an expert as a practitioner. Her manner is compassionate and caring as she listens, takes everything you say and have experienced into consideration when determining treatment. She is truly the best her field, combining massage therapy and Chinese medicine with an amazing holistic and therapeutic approach to wellness.
