Acupuncture Point Injection Therapy (APIT)

Acupuncture Point Injection Therapy (APIT) is beneficial for those suffering from acute and chronic pain, especially in the shoulder, back, knees or neck. At Cairn Clinic, we also offer APIT techniques for some of our weight loss protocols, cosmetic acupuncture programs, and our B-12 injections.

What is AIT?
IIt's an integrative therapy that blends the best of Chinese medicine with conventional and homeopathic medicine. AIT-certified acupuncture physicians inject therapeutic substances, such as: Vitamin D, Vitamin B-12, saline solution, herbal medicine or Lidocaine, into acupuncture points specific to your wellness needs. The needles used for APIT are of the smallest size and finest quality available, allowing for the gentlest ‘injection’ you have every experienced, and act to optimize the healing sessions at Cairn Clinic. To use AIT as a therapy, licensed Acupuncture Physicians must complete an additional 60 hours of academic and clinical training beyond their traditional education to become certified in this technique.
