Neuro-Linguistic Programming

Neuro-Linguistic Programming

Learn to understand how we filter our life experiences, how we program our brain based on those experiences and how those perceptions negative/positive determine our behavior.
Through Neuro-Linguistic Programming Techniques we are able to transform our conscious mind toward more positive perceptions, allowing ourselves to live a more serene and peaceful human existence.
NLP is the practice of understanding how people organize their thinking, feeling, language, and behavior to produce the results they do.
NLP provide people with a methodology to model outstanding performances achieved by geniuses and leaders in their field.
A key element of NLP is that we form our unique internal mental maps of the world as a product of the way we filter and perceive information absorbed through our five senses from the world around us.

Defining NLP

Neuro:
Everyone has established their own unique mental filtering system for processing the millions of bits of data being absorbed through the senses. Our first mental map of the world is constituted of internal images, sounds, tactile awareness, internal sensations, tastes, and smells that form as result of the neurological filtering process. The first mental map is called “First Access” in NLP.
“Neuro” because all our experiences, both conscious and subconscious, are derived through and from our senses and central nervous system.

Linguistic:
We then assign personal meaning to the information being received from the world outside. We form our second mental map by assigning language to the internal images, sounds, and feelings, tastes and smells, thus forming everyday conscious awareness. The second mental map is called the Linguistic Map (sometimes known as Linguistic Representation). “Linguistic” because our mental processes are also coded, organized, given meaning, and transformed through language.

Programming:
The behavioral response that occurs as a result of neurological filtering processes and the subsequent linguistic map. “Programming” because people interact as a system in which experience and communication are composed of sequences of patterns or “programs”.
NLP is the practical application of how people think. NLP is a unique model of how people learn, motivate themselves, and change their behavior to achieve excellence in any endeavor.
NLP lets you model, or copy, human excellence in any form. With NLP, you can identify what makes someone exceptionally skilled, and get that skill for yourself or teach it to others. NLP can help you become adept in whatever is important to you.
NLP is valuable whenever human communication skills can enhance results-in business consultation, management, negotiation, education, counseling, therapy, relationships, parenting, nursing, public speaking, sports performance and many other areas.
NLP studies excellence and teaches the skills that promote positive change that generates new possibilities and opportunities for individuals of all ages.

An Example of a NLP Technique:

What Is Tapping and How Does It Work?
Restore the Innate Power to Heal Yourself. The practice of tapping your fingertips on specific meridian points while talking through a wide range of thoughts, feelings and emotions.

What is a Meridian Point?
There are 12 Energetic Meridian Lines throughout the body, Tapping utilizes 8 specific points along a few of these energy lines. Negative Emotions or Interactions disrupt the flow of body’s energy and create an imbalance in mind/body connection. Restoring the balance of energy, provides the opportunity to release negative emotions and physical symptoms originating from energetic disruption. Tapping is a powerful tool, allowing patients to radiate positive energy and release negative stuck physical and emotional energy.

How does Tapping Work?
Tapping requires you to focus on your current negative emotion while tapping your fingertips 5-7 times on the specific meridian points. As you tap on the meridian points, you concentrate on accepting and resolving the negative emotion and restoring balanced to the energy of the body. Tapping sends signals directly to the stress centers of the mid-brain, allowing for accesses to stress on a physical and emotional level simultaneously. Tapping’s positive affect on the amygdala, an almond-shaped part of your brain that initiates your body’s negative reaction to fear, makes it an extremely useful tool in regulating our ‘fight or flight’ stress response. The amygdala is a personal alarm system, once triggered the body is flooded with cortisol and the downstream cascade effects of the stress response influences and, in many cases, causes illness, injury, emotion, interpersonal drama. Tapping is beneficial in eliminating the distress associating with certain issues, such as: pressing deadlines, family struggles, sugar cravings, depression, anxiety, insomnia, PTSD, physical pain, illness, addiction, digestive issues and much more.
